Nestled beneath the Kaitake Ranges in Ōakura, LWF Distilling is a New Zealand-owned and operated craft rum distillery dedicated to producing flavourful, small-batch rums. Since its inception in 2019, LWF has been fermenting, distilling, bottling, and ageing its spirits on-site, utilising five-times filtered New Zealand rainwater, Bundaberg molasses, and European distiller’s yeast.
The distillery's commitment to local sourcing is evident in its use of regional produce, including citrus from Sentry Hill Citrus, feijoas from Avos on Airport Drive, and mānuka honey from Naki Honey. LWF's innovative approach has garnered international recognition, with accolades from the London Spirits Competition.
