Transpacific signifies the journey between two hemispheres and is the inaugural release in 1919 Distilling's special cask series. This single malt whisky undergoes primary maturation in first-fill Tennessee bourbon barrels before being finished in Jamaican rum casks, imparting a whole new dimension to its character. On the nose, it presents aromas of fresh molasses, burnt sugar, and overripe bananas. The palate delivers sweet and fruity notes, including ripe pear, pineapple, and a hint of leather, culminating in a complex and satisfying finish. Bottled at 46% ABV in a 700ml format, Transpacific exemplifies 1919 Distilling's innovative approach to New Zealand whisky craftsmanship.
