Lost Barrel Bourbon is a unique expression of bourbon whiskey with a remarkable journey. Originally distilled in Kentucky, USA, and imported to New Zealand in 2001 as a four-year-old spirit, it was housed at South Pacific Distillery in Nelson—one of the country's pioneering commercial distilleries. Following the distillery's closure, two barrels were stored and forgotten through years of relocation and change.
In a fortunate turn of events, these barrels were rediscovered and, after 28 years of maturation, were finally bottled by Kiwi Spirit Distillery. The result is a rich, smooth bourbon with an intoxicating aroma, reflecting decades of aging. Each bottle is hand-numbered, and availability is extremely limited, with Lost Barrel Bourbon offered exclusively online for a short time.
