Juno Gin is a premium New Zealand distillery based in New Plymouth, Taranaki, where science, mythology, and craft come together to produce exceptional spirits. Named after the Roman goddess Juno, known as the goddess of marriage, domestic harmony, vitality, and eternal youth, she represents the perfect overseer of the marriage of flavours that happens during distillation. Within the copper pot still, carefully selected botanicals and pure Mt Taranaki water are brought together to create gins of distinction.
Founded by husband and wife team Jo and Dave James, Juno Gin is a true local story. The couple first met at primary school in New Plymouth. Years later, they left their careers, drew on their science backgrounds, and turned a shared passion for gin into something remarkable. They began experimenting, blending, and refining their vision to craft the ideal New Zealand gin.
Their flagship Juno Extra Fine Gin is at the heart of a growing collection of small-batch, award-winning spirits under the BeGin Distilling name. Using seasonal botanicals and sustainable practices, Juno Gin captures the essence of Aotearoa in every bottle. It's more than a spirit—it's a celebration of local flavour, community, and creativity.
