Black Collar Rum is a refined expression of Kerikeri craftmanship, produced at the Bay of Islands distillery by pot-distilling local sugarcane spirit and ageing the golden wash in oak casks. Bottled at 38.5% ABV in a 700 ml bottle, it delivers a clean, smooth profile characterised by soft caramel sweetness, rich vanilla, creamy butterscotch and a gentle smokey char from the barrel. Rooted in Northland’s deep rum history, where rum casks once filled the region’s ports - this rum carries forward that legacy in a modern, refined format. It’s versatile enough to enjoy neat or elevated with mixers, with its oak ageing adding an extra layer of sophistication.
