A limited-release single malt whisky from Arrowtown, New Zealand, crafted from Royalburn barley and aged in ex-bourbon barrels, offering rich, smooth complexity and a deep, warming character.
Rifters Royalburn Single Malt Whisky – Field Report Chapter 01 – is a small-batch release that captures a moment in the distillery's journey. Crafted from Royalburn barley grown in the rugged conditions of the Crown Range and aged in ex-bourbon barrels in the Whakatipu Basin, this 2-year-old whisky reflects the unique terroir of Central Otago.
The whisky presents a rich, smooth, and complex profile, with each sip revealing the influence of the land and the barrel's deep, warming character. The extreme temperatures of Arrowtown contribute to the maturation process, allowing the whisky to develop unique flavours through the expansion and contraction of the wood.
Each 350ml bottle is individually numbered, marking it as a collector's item and a testament to the craftsmanship of Rifters and Royalburn.
